A map of the action between part of the Allied army and the French at Soest on 18 October, and the movements of the Allied army between 17 and 25 October 1758. Seven Years War (1756-63). Oriented with north-north-east to top (compass rose).

No pencil folio number [No. 19]. Extends from Hamm (51°40'49"N 07°49'15"E) in the north-west to Lippstadt (51°40'25"N 08°20'41"E) in the north-east, a distance of about twenty miles, and as far south as Meiningsen (51°32'12"N 08°03'33"E), about 2½ miles south of Soest. A paper flap is pasted to the base map, giving different troop positions to the north-east of Soest. The pasting position for the flap is indicated by pecked lines on the base map.

Condition: no fold lines; crisp image from what is probably an early pull from the copperplates; guarded into volume.
