      A map of the encampment of the Allied army under the command of Prince Charles of Lorraine, at Libois, 29-30 August 1746. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with north to top.

      The encampment (Austrian, English, Hanoverian, Hessian, Dutch, Corps de Reserve) extends westwards from Filée (50°26'57"N 05°11'55"E) across cultivated land to Gesves (50°24'05"N 05°04'28"E), a distance of about 11 km (6.8 miles).
