      A map of the encampment of the Allied army, under the command of Prince Charles of Lorraine, at Bombaye, 9-14 September 1746. War of the Austrian Succession (1740-48). Oriented with west to top.

      The march north-westwards from the previous camp at Soumagne was about 10 km (6.2 miles). This campsite (Austrians, English, Hanoverians, Hessians, Dutch, Corps de Reserve, Corps du General Trips) extends from Molan (Moelingen 50°45'24"N 05°42'49"E) in the north to just south of Trembleur (50°41'43"N 05°43'33"E) in the south, a distance of about 7 km.
      Bombaye is the unnamed village south of Biernau (Berneau 50°44'32"N 05°43'50"E).
