The facing page (RCIN 731068.i) lists the encamped regiments. The camp took place from 28 June to 25 September. The encamped regiments, under the command of Lieutenant-General Halley, Earl of Ancram, Brigadiers Elliot and Douglass are: 1st Royal Dragoons; 3rd Dragoon Guards; 3rd King's Own Dragoons; 4th Birch's Dragoons; 6th Inniskilling Dragoons; and 11th Ancram's Dragoons.

Oriented with north-north-west to top (cardinal points). [Text on facing page:] Encampment at Salisbury / 1757. Watermark: JWHATMAN. Size: 32.7 x 34.5 cm (image). This is a more polished plan than K.Mil., and has more detail, for example, Wilton and Quidhampton [Chilhampton?], bottom left, are shown in more detail, and a little plan of Old Sarum, which is not present on the K.Mil. copy, is drawn in the right margin of the BL plan.
